Canelo Álvarez y GGG empataron en Las Vegas y ya se habla de revancha

La pelea entre el kazajo Gennady Golovkin, apodado triple G, y el mexicano Saúl ´Canelo´ Alvarez, que muchos esperaban desde hacía rato, terminó empatada este sábado ante un público que no quedó muy satisfecho en el T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas.

El juez Dave Moretti puntuó la pelea 115-113 para Golovkin, Adalaide Byrd la calificó con un 118-110 para Canelo  y Don Trella la vio 114-114.

Al concluir sin decisión favorable para ninguno de los boxeadores, GGG conservó sus cinturones del Consejos Mundial de Boxeo (CMB), la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB) y la Federación Internacional de Boxeo (FIB).

Golovkin, que mantuvo su invicto, queda ahora con balance de 37-0-1 y ´Canelo´, que encajó su segundo empate, termina 49-1-2.

Sin embargo, tras el duro combate ambos peleadores aceptaron hacer una revancha “si la gente quiere verla”.

Los especialistas aseguraron que esta sí fue un combate digno del título “pelea del año”, en clara referencia al fiasco de Conor McGregor y Floyd Mayweather.
