Argentina podría cubrir a 10 millones de personas con la vacuna rusa Sputnik V a partir de finales de diciembre

“El acuerdo con Rusia nos da una gran tranquilidad”, dijo el presidente al anunciar cómo continuarán las medidas sanitarias por el coronavirus.

El presidente de Argentina, Alberto Fernández, confirmó este viernes que 10 millones de ciudadanos del país suramericano podrían acceder a la vacuna rusa Sputnik-V hacia finales de diciembre.

El presidente mantuvo esta mañana una conversación con su par de Rusia, Vladímir Putin, en la que dialogaron sobre las perspectivas de implementación de los acuerdos sobre el uso de la Sputnik V.

“Estamos trabajando con el fondo soberano de Rusia para que podamos llevar adelante un acuerdo entre países, de Estado a Estado, para la provisión de vacunas”, contó Fernández la tarde de este viernes.

Y agregó: “El acuerdo con Rusia nos da una gran tranquilidad, porque nos permite pensar que vamos a contar con la vacuna rápidamente. De todas formas, seguimos tratando con otros proveedores”, ya que el país firmó acuerdos con los laboratorios Pfizer (EE.UU.), Astrazeneca-Oxford (Reino Unido), y Sinopharm (China).

En la charla que mantuvieron ambos mandatarios, tanto Putin como Fernández confirmaron la disposición a seguir desarrollando “una cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa” entre los dos Estados, “en todas las esferas principales, incluida la comercial y económica”.

Al anunciar las nuevas medidas sanitarias en el marco de la pandemia, el jefe de Estado llamó a “unir esfuerzos para vacunar a los argentinos”, y recordó que el problema sanitario “todavía no terminó”.

Nueva etapa de la cuarentena

Por otra parte, el presidente Fernández anunció que en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires dejará de regir a partir del lunes el aislamiento social obligatorio por el coronavirus, para pasar a una nueva etapa de distanciamiento, con el reinicio de varias actividades.

No obstante, según explicó el mandatario, en otras diez provincias, en los distritos donde no se han podido reducir los contagios, la cuarentena estricta continuará vigente al menos hasta el 29 de noviembre.

El titular del Poder Ejecutivo recomendó a la ciudadanía continuar con los cuidados sanitarios particulares, utilizar tapabocas, lavarse las manos y evitar las aglomeraciones.
