Indignación en Colombia por el asesinato a tiros de una adolescente durante la celebración de sus 15 años

Las autoridades aseguraron que “la Fiscalía asumió la investigación para identificar y capturar al responsable de este homicidio”.

Una adolescente fue asesinada a tiros el pasado sábado en la ciudad de Ibagué (Tolima, Colombia), durante la celebración de sus 15 años, informan medios locales.

La víctima, identificada como María Paula Castañeda Callejas, se encontraba a un lado de la vivienda donde tuvo lugar la fiesta, en el barrio Nueva Castilla, cuando un desconocido la abordó y le disparó, impactándola en el rostro y huyendo tras verla tendida en el suelo.

La menor de edad fue trasladada inmediatamente a la Unidad de Salud de Ibagué, a donde llegó sin signos vitales, y los médicos confirmaron que había fallecido.

“Solo escuchamos tiros, no sabemos quién le disparó ni por qué lo hizo”, afirmó al periódico El Tiempo uno de los hermanos de la víctima. Otro testigo detalló que “todo sucedió en cuestión de segundos“.

Otros más informaron que minutos antes de escucharse el disparo, la joven tuvo un altercado con una mujer. Contradictoriamente, algunos dijeron que “podría tratarse de una bala perdida que terminó con la vida de una niña inocente”.

Por su parte, el secretario de Gobierno de la ciudad, Carlos Andrés Portela, declaró que todavía se desconocen las causas del incidente y aseguró que “la Fiscalía asumió la investigación para identificar y capturar al responsable de este homicidio”.

Defensores de los derechos de las mujeres exigen justicia

Entre tanto, distintos grupos de defensores de los derechos de las mujeres han exigido la captura y condena del atacante.

“La muerte de esta niña nos duele a todos y debería servir para que las autoridades inviertan recursos en programas efectivos de protección de la mujer”. Y lo peor, agregaron, es que “no se escuchan las voces de la sociedad, ni de los estudiantes ni de las autoridades, condenando este vil asesinato”.

Mientras, los familiares de la fallecida se vieron obligados a pedir ayuda para pagar el funeral, cuyo costo puede ascender a unos dos millones de pesos (cerca de 520 dólares).
