Se espera un aumento en el flujo migratorio para Semana Santa en El Salvador

El director de Migración y Extranjería, Ricardo Cucalón, anunció que se espera un incremento del 11 % en el flujo migratorio durante la Semana Santa en El Salvador, con un registro estimado de 507,000 ingresos en todas las fronteras del país, incluyendo terrestres, aéreas y marítimas.

Cucalón destacó que se están atendiendo diariamente unos 50,000 controles migratorios de entrada y salida a través de las fronteras, con un flujo previsto de 420,000 viajes terrestres y aproximadamente 100,000 personas a través del aeropuerto internacional. Para agilizar el proceso, el gobierno implementa el sistema de “Migración Invisible”, donde los pasajeros que salen del país ya no necesitan realizar su control migratorio en las ventanillas de Migración.

En el Aeropuerto Internacional El Salvador, se desplegarán más de 1,800 personas de diferentes instituciones, además de 100 miembros de la Academia Nacional de Seguridad Pública y gestores de Tránsito del Viceministerio de Transporte, para garantizar un servicio de calidad.

Por su parte, la Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA) informó sobre la implementación de mejoras en la terminal aérea, incluyendo la habilitación de más equipos de rayos X en los puntos de inspección para agilizar el proceso de salida del país.

El presidente de CEPA, Federico Anliker, expresó el entusiasmo de la institución por recibir a los visitantes en un aeropuerto con altos estándares de calidad y servicio.

En cuanto al turismo, la ministra de Turismo, Morena Valdez, proyectó recibir a 126,000 visitantes internacionales durante Semana Santa, lo que representaría un aumento del 15 % en comparación con 2023. Se espera que la mayoría de los visitantes provengan de Guatemala, Estados Unidos y Honduras, dejando alrededor de $110 millones en divisas para la economía nacional.

La plataforma Viajeros Sv, ofrecida por Cancillería, brindará descuentos en restaurantes y destinos a los salvadoreños en el exterior que lleguen al país para hacer turismo e inversiones.

Finalmente, el subdirector de Aduanas, José Luis Maradiaga, aseguró que la institución está lista para la Semana Santa, con alrededor de 300 miembros trabajando en todos los puntos de entrada y salida del país.
