La Asamblea Legislativa aumenta a 12 años de prisión para los abusadores sexuales

Hasta las últimas fechas la pena máxima era de 10 años. A presuntos delincuentes está vigente para 30 años las cuales ya habían sido aprobadas el 30 de marzo.

Con 81 votos a favor de todos los partidos, la Asamblea Legislativa aprobó este jueves (12.05.22) una nueva reforma al Código Penal que aumentará las penas de prisión a las personas que fuesen condenadas por violación sexual. El rango de penas pasará de 6-10 a 8-12 años de prisión.

La segunda novedad que trae está reforma es la inclusión de cuatro agravantes del delito de violación sexual, dicha condición implica la imposición de la máxima pena aumentada hasta la tercera parte de la pena original, es decir, hasta 16 años.

El dictamen también añadió el aumento de penas para pandilleros por violación aprobado el 30 de marzo de 2022 que oscilarán entre 20 y 30 años de prisión.

Sin embargo, esta reforma ya estaba impuesta y publicada el 30 de marzo de 2022.

“Además, también estábamos viendo que si la persona pertenece a grupos delictivos como maras o pandillas se le da una pena de hasta 20 y 30 años”, mencionó Norma Lobo, de Nuevas Ideas.

¿Cuáles fueron las nuevas 4 agravantes para el delito de violación aprobadas por la Asamblea Legislativa?

1. Cuando la víctima sea mayor de 60 años.

2. Cuando el imputado, teniendo conocimiento de que es portador de enfermedades contagiosas de transmisión sexual o del Síndrome de Inmunodeficiencia Adquirida o Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana, contagie a la víctima.

3. Cuando la víctima se encuentre inconsciente, inducido o no, producto del uso de drogas, alcohol u otra sustancia estupefaciente o psicotrópica.

4. Cuando la víctima resulte en estado de embarazo.
