Putin: “No queremos que aparezcan milicianos aquí bajo el disfraz de refugiados de Afganistán”

El presidente ruso, Vladímir Putin, ha señalado este domingo que la situación en Afganistán tiene una relación directa con la seguridad de Rusia.

En este sentido, el mandatario ruso criticó la táctica de evacuación de ciudadanos afganos que baraja aplicar Occidente, consistente en alojar a los refugiados en los países de Asia central hasta que reciban visados a EE.UU. y Europa.

“No queremos que aparezcan milicianos aquí bajo el disfraz de los refugiados de Afganistán”, aseveró Putin.

“Estos horrores que ahora [sufren] en Afganistán, no hace tanto que estaban aquí y no queremos su regreso, no necesitamos a esos elementos”, dijo.

Putin recordó que algunos países de Asia central son estados aliados de Rusia sin restricciones en cuestión de visados.

“Nuestros socios occidentales plantean insistentemente la cuestión de alojar a los refugiados en Asia central hasta que reciban visados de EE.UU. o de otros países. Entonces, ¿a estos países se los puede enviar sin visados, a nuestros vecinos, pero no quieren acoger a la gente [en sus países] sin visados?”, aseveró Putin, preguntándose si se trata de una especie de “método humillante” para resolver la crisis.

  • El pasado domingo, los talibanes tomaron Kabul y dieron por finalizada su ofensiva por todo Afganistán, mientras el presidente Ashraf Ghani renunciaba a su cargo y abandonaba el país. Ante la llegada de los talibanes a Kabul, multitud de personas se apresuraron a abandonar el país y el aeropuerto de la capital se convirtió en escenario de caos y estampidas.
  • El Ejército de EE.UU. controla actualmente el aeropuerto y dirige sus operaciones de tráfico aéreo. Sin embargo, el jefe de la diplomacia de la Unión Europea, Josep Borrell, ha declarado este sábado que es “imposible” para EE.UU. y los aliados europeos evacuar a su personal y familias afganas de Kabul antes del 31 de agosto y culpó a las tropas estadounidenses en el aeropuerto de la ciudad de obstaculizar las tareas de evacuación.
  • Hasta ahora, 13 países han accedido a hospedar a los afganos vulnerables, al menos temporalmente, según el secretario de Estado, Antony Blinken. Otros 12 han accedido a servir de punto de tránsito.
