Familiares de los 43 desaparecidos de Ayotzinapa piden justicia contra Cienfuegos

Acusan al exsecretario de Defensa de México de ocultar la participación de militares durante la llamada Noche de Iguala, en la que desaparecieron los jóvenes normalistas.

El vocero de las familias de los 43 normalistas desaparecidos de Ayotzinapa, Felipe de la Cruz, exigió que se investigue y castigue al general Salvador Cienfuegos, exsecretario de Defensa de México, por su presunta participación en la desaparición de los jóvenes.

El exgeneral fue repatriado a México el pasado miércoles luego de que una corte de Nueva York retirase los cargos de narcotráfico y lavado de dinero que le fueron imputados tras su detención, el 15 de octubre, en EE.UU.

“¿Cómo es posible que llegue a nuestro país y muy tranquilamente se vaya a dormir a su casa, cuando nosotros llevamos seis años en exigencia de que se investigue a los militares? Sabemos de su participación en esos hechos y le hemos exigido al Fiscal General de la República que abra una carpeta de investigación en contra del general Cienfuegos”, cuestionó Cruz.

El representante de los familiares recordó que Cienfuegos protegió a mandos militares vinculados con el caso Ayotzinapa pese a existir evidencias sobre su presunta participación en la llamada Noche de Iguala, en la que un grupo de policías detuvo y entregó a los estudiantes al crimen organizado mientras personal castrense vigilaba la zona.

Por ello, Cruz exigió que se investigue y castigue a Cienfuegos.

“No puede estar durmiendo como angelito en su casa cuando sabemos que trae cargos de delincuencia, pero a nosotros nos interesa el caso de nuestros jóvenes“, concluyó.

En la última semana, un juez federal mexicano dictó auto de prisión contra José Martínez Crespo, conocido como ‘Capitán Crespo’, implicado en la desaparición de los 43 estudiantes y acusado de delincuencia organizada.

Además del caso Ayotzinapa, Cienfuegos, quien fuera secretario de la Defensa durante el sexenio del presidente Enrique Peña Nieto (2012-2018), ha sido señalado por algunas organizaciones de derechos humanos como presunto responsable de crímenes de lesa humanidad cometidos por el Ejército, tales como las masacres de Tlatlaya y Tanhuato.
