Real Madrid y Betis llegan a esta jornada entre semana con buenas sensaciones tras sus victorias ante la Real Sociedad y Deportivo de la Coruña respectivamente. Los blancos no se pueden permitir pinchar en casa después de haber cosechado ya dos empates en este inicio liguero. Más teniendo en cuenta como ha comenzado el máximo rival la competición doméstica en la que han dejado atrás los fantasmas de la pre-temporada gracias a un Messi en un momento espectacular.

El técnico francés continuará con las rotaciones que tan bien le han funcionado hasta ahora y además, podrá contar por fin con Cristiano Ronaldo, que ha terminado de cumplir su sanción de cinco partidos por empujar al árbitro en la Supercopa de España.

Además de Cristiano y Kroos vuelven al equipo, que tuvo molestias y fue baja en Anoeta, y Marcelo, que tampoco pudo jugar ante la Real por haber sido expulsado en el encuentro anterior. El lateral brasileño viene justo a tiempo para sustituir al lesionado Theo que será la única baja obligada por un golpe en el hombro que sufrió en el choque del domingo ante la Real Sociedad en la que fue su primera titularidad con el conjunto blanco.

Cristiano Ronaldo debutará esta campaña en La Liga Española después de cumplir cinco partidos de sanción por empujar al árbitro en la Supercopa de España. Ya jugó en Champions y marcó dos goles. Veremos si esta sanción le sienta finalmente bien al crack, para alcanzar el pico de forma a final de temporada como ya hizo la campaña pasada en la que fue decisivo en el tramo final de Liga y Champions goleando en todas las citas importantes.
