400 personas involucradas en un choque de trenes en Costa Rica. La Cruz Roja de Costa Rica confirmó que al menos 18 personas resultaron heridas, luego de una colisión entre dos trenes en Santo Domingo de Heredia.
Los trenes chocaron frontalmente a la altura de Santa Rosa de Santo Domingo, en el Valle Central costarricense, a eso de las 6 de la tarde hora local.
Cuatro heridos de gravedad y múltiples personas con cortaduras y golpes es el saldo preliminar de la colisión frontal de dos trenes con 400 personas ocurrida, la tarde de este lunes, en Santa Rosa de Santo Domingo.

Elizabeth Briceño, presidenta del Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles (Incofer), indicó que “eventualmente” el percance podría atribuirse a un error humano.
Sin embargo, advirtió que no podría verificar la versión hasta no tener las pruebas técnicas.
“No debería ocurrir nunca; es un tema de seguridad para nuestros usuarios”, aseveró Briceño luego de confirmar la suspensión temporal del servicio de tren entre San José y Heredia.
Entre los pasajeros afectados figura Luis Mora Chaves, trabajador de una empresa distribuidora de repuestos y quien se dirigía desde Santa Rosa hacia la capital.
“Todo ocurrió muy rápido. Escuché que venía el otro porque sonó la pitoreta. Un chavalo que venía cerca me cayó encima producto del golpe. Tengo lesiones en mi rodilla derecha. Me duele demasiado. Había salido de trabajo a las 5 p. m.”, relató mientras era atendido.
En el otro tren viajaba Daniela Ulloa, una joven de 22 años que regresaba de su trabajo en la Asamblea Legislativa. “Estoy golpeada, impactada por el susto. “Iba de San José a Heredia, era el tren de las 5:40 p. m. Yo venía como en el tercer vagón… solo se sintió un impacto fuerte y comenzó a salir humo blanco”, contó.
