¿En cuáles celulares dejará de funcionar WhatsApp?

La app de mensajería se seguirá usando a partir del Android 4.1 sin ninguna problemática.

WhatsApp es una de las aplicaciones de mensajería más utilizadas en el mundo entero, por lo que siempre es útil saber qué modelos de teléfonos móviles están demasiado desactualizados para usar. Además la app sigue sus constantes actualizaciones.

Sin embargo, entre las innovaciones está la alerta que tiene con algunos móviles en donde dejará de funcionar. Y es que la app anunció que a partir del 30 abril de 2022, dejará de funcionar en algunos dispositivos con sistemas operativos antiguos.

Algunos modelos se han vuelto demasiado obsoletos para funcionar correctamente y WhatsApp ha decidido dejar de brindarles soporte a partir de abril de 2022.

En el sitio de soporte de WhatsApp, la aplicación de mensajería dejará de funcionar en Android con sistema operativo anterior a 4.1. Esto significa que para usar WhatsApp, hay que tener Android con la versión 4.1 Jelly Bean o superior.

La versión 4.1 de Android se lanzó en el año 2012, por lo que cualquier versión que se haya comprado en los últimos 6 u 8 años puede seguir siendo compatible con WhatsApp durante el año sin problemas.

También, cabe destacar que dejará de funcionar en los dispositivos iPhone con versiones anteriores a iOS 10 lanzado en el año 2016. Sin embargo, la versión actual de iOS es iOS 15, que es compatible con iPhone 6s lanzado en el mismo año mencionado, por lo que la mayoría de todos los iPhones de los últimos años seguirán siendo acordes a la app.
