Rusia se proclama el nuevo campeón mundial de fútbol playa

Se trata del tercer campeonato mundial en este deporte para el país. Anteriormente, los rusos habían logrado ganar los torneos de 2011 en Italia y de 2013 en Tahití.

Este domingo la selección rusa de fútbol playa se coronó campeona de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA, que se celebró en Moscú. El equipo local venció a Japón 5-2, consiguiendo así su tercer campeonato mundial en este deporte.

Yuri Krashenninikov marcó para los rusos un doblete. Con él, también se destacaron Fiódor Zemkov, Andréi Nóvikov y Artur Paporotni. Para los japoneses, ambas anotaciones fueron conseguidas por Takuya Akaguma.

Los campeones asiáticos comenzaron con fuerza. Su capitán, Ozu Moreira, y Akaguma (autor de una ‘hat-trick’ en la victoria de la semifinal sobre Senegal), tuvieron varios intentos tempranos, pero los anfitriones abrieron el marcador a través de Zemkov a los cuatro minutos.

Akaguma, sin embargo, logró la paridad al comienzo del segundo período. Segundos después Rusia recuperó la ventaja con Krasheninnikov, venciendo al portero japonés Yusuke Kawai de un tiro libre.

Una dura entrada de Takaaki Oba más adelante le resultó costosa a los visitantes. Andréi Nóvikov cobró la falta y anotó de tiro libre. Los nipones no desistieron y de la mano de Akaguma convirtieron su segundo tanto al minuto 17 de juego.

Paporotni restauró la ventaja de dos goles, complicando las posibilidades del rival para el periodo final. El portero ruso, Maksim Chuzhkov, impidió el tercero de los japoneses y finalmente Krasheninnikov sellaría la victoria para su escuadra con una diana al minuto 35.

Con este logro, Rusia alcanza el tricampeonato de la Copa Mundial, que se disputa cada dos años, siendo por primera vez en su historia sede del evento. Los campeones alzaron el trofeo por primera vez en 2011 derrotando a Brasil. En la siguiente edición, celebrada en 2011 en Tahití, repitieron la hazaña superando a los españoles. En 2015 y 2019 ocuparon el tercer lugar.
