El Barça de Koeman se enfrento a una final de Copa del Rey donde se jugaba más que un título.

El Barça de Koeman es nuevo campéon de la Copa del Rey! Los blaugrana arrollaron al Athletic (0-5) en una segunda mitad de ensueño, y confirmaron todavía más su corona en el torneo del KO.

La primera mitad fue un asedio de los culés pero sin gol. Y es que parece que se reservaron todos los tantos para una segunda mitad en la que Messi, por partida doble; De Jong y Griezmann certificaron un título épico, que les da fuerzas de cara al final de Liga.

El Barça de Koeman se enfrento a un final de Copa del Rey donde se jugo más que un título.

Además el juego contra los Leones estaba en juego tanto el futuro de Messi y Koeman, como el poder afrontar con garantías el final de Liga.

El técnico holandés no se complicó y apostó de inicio por su once más experimentado, con Piqué y Griezmann de titulares.

Este enfrentamiento desde el primer minuto, los cualés mostraron las inmensas ganas de levantar un nuevo trofeo, tras un año en blanco. 

El cuadro catalán se hizo dueño y señor desde el primer momento, dominando por completo el balón y de manera continua a la meta de los rojiblancos.

De Jong, con un disparó que se estrelló al palo, fue el primero en avisar ante un Athletic que poco pudo hacer ante el asedio blaugrana.

Un dominio que todavía más con el paso de los minutos. Sin embargo, esta supremacía no se materializó en goles, sobre todo por culpa de la  defensa estratégica por los de Marcelino. Al descanso, los de Koeman no se sentían amenazados pero tampoco conseguían certificar por la vía rápida el triunfo.
