Ecuador jugará en el Mundial de Qatar 2022

La FIFA desestimó la presentación de la federación de Chile, por la mala propuesta del jugador Byron Castillo por parte de Ecuador.

“La Comisión Disciplinaria de la FIFA ha emitido su decisión en relación a la posible inhabilitación del jugador Byron David Castillo Segura con respecto a su participación en ocho partidos de clasificación de la selección nacional de la Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol (FEF) en la competencia preliminar de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA. Después de analizar las presentaciones de todas las partes involucradas y considerar todos los elementos presentados ante ella, la Comisión Disciplinaria de la FIFA ha decidido cerrar el procedimiento iniciado contra la FEF.

Los hallazgos del Comité Disciplinario fueron notificados hoy a las partes involucradas. De acuerdo con las disposiciones pertinentes del Código Disciplinario de la FIFA, las partes tienen diez días para solicitar una decisión motivada que, de ser solicitada, se publicará posteriormente en legal.fifa.com. La presente decisión sigue sujeta a recurso ante la Comisión de Apelación de la FIFA”, la Comisión Disciplinaria de la FIFA ha decidido archivar el procedimiento iniciado contra la FEF, señalo atrevés de su comunicado.

La Federación de Chile, quien no clasificó al Mundial de Qatar, presentó una denuncia el 4 de mayo, contra Byron Castillo, ante la Comisión Disciplinaria de la FIFA por el “uso de certificado de nacimiento falso, en declaración de edad y falsa nacionalidad” según el comunicado oficial.

“Existen innumerables pruebas que el jugador nació en Colombia, en la ciudad de Tumaco, el día 25 de julio de 1995, y no el 10 de noviembre de 1998 en la ciudad de ecuatoriana de General Villamil Playas”, afirmaron los chilenos, e hicieron referencias a investigaciones realizadas en Ecuador que, según ellos, muestran que hay “inconsistencias” en el certificado de nacimiento que presentó el jugador.
