Reforma sobre voto en el exterior pasa a plenaria este próximo martes

Luego de modificar algunos artículos, se acordó que el próximo martes será sometida a votación la ahora propuesta “Ley Especial para el Ejercicio del Sufragio en el extranjero” durante la sesión plenaria. “Al aprobarse esta ley, tendrán derecho (los salvadoreños en el exterior) a votar y a postularse en las próximas elecciones de El Salvador”, dijo el presidente de la comisión.

A menos de una semana del vencimiento del plazo que impuso la Sala de lo Constitucional, para el estudio del  contenido de la ley que permitiría el voto de los salvadoreños en el exterior, se encuentra la comisión de reformas electorales de la Asamblea Legislativa (AL).

“La Sala dijo que tenemos hasta el 15 para aprobar una ley que garantice el voto en el exterior”, aseguró hoy el presidente de la comisión, diputado Romeo Auerbach del partido GANA, quien convocó el día sábado y hoy domingo 12 de septiembre para continuar con la discusión sobre la ley del voto de la diáspora. “Se va a reconsiderar del artículo uno en adelante con la nueva propuesta en este momento”, dijo el diputado Auerbach.

De esta ley, la principal apuesta del Gobierno es el porto por Inernet, pero aún no se saben mayores detalles sobre las garantías que darían mayor certeza al proceso en caso de la aprobación de la Asamblea Legislativa.

El pasado martes 7 de septiembre fue ingresada la pieza de correspondencia de la iniciativa de la Presidencia de la República. La “Ley Especial para el Ejercicio del Sufragio desde el Extranjero” es la segunda propuesta que presenta GOES para legislar el voto del exterior.
