Nuevo lote con 198,900 vacunas contra la COVID-19 de Pfizer

En horas de la madrugada, arribó el cuadragésimo lote de vacunas contra el COVID-19, el cual transportaba 198,900 dosis de la farmacéutica Pfizer en el Aeropuerto Internacional de El Salvador.

«La llegada del biológico nos permite a los salvadoreños tener muchos menores efectos negativos ante el COVID-19.  Con este lote número 40 estamos alcanzando un poco más de la cantidad de 12 millones 753 mil dosis al territorio”, destacó el Ministro de Salud, Francisco Alabi.

El funcionario de dicha cartera de Estado detalló que con las 198,900 dosis de la firma Pfizer, adquiridas este día, suma un total de 2,528,100 dosis de esta farmacéutica. En su gran mayoría por compra directa con la cantidad de 2,147,850 dosis y 380,250 por medio de donaciones.

Cabe destacar que luego del arribo de las dosis de vacunas, las autoridades del Ministerio de Salud verificaron que todo estuviera en orden y el cumplimiento de las condiciones necesarias, para luego fuera el traslado de las vacunas a el Centro Nacional de Biológicos (CENABI).

El arribo de las vacunas contra el COVID-19 viene a fortalecer el Plan Nacional de Vacunación que impulsa el Gobierno del Presidente Nayib Bukele para que más salvadoreños tengan acceso al fármaco.

«Hemos superado las 8 millones de dosis aplicadas. Hacemos un llamado a la población, a que se aplique la vacuna. Hay más de 160 centros de vacunación, 30 puntos móviles y contamos con la vacunación casa por casa», comunicó el Ministro de Salud..

De ahí que con la llegada de este lote, el Gobierno del Presidente Nayib Bukele ha adquirido 12,753,500 dosis de vacunas: 8,896,650 a través de compra directa y 3,856,850 por medio de donaciones.

De esta forma, el Gobierno del Presidente Nayib Bukele continúa trabajando mano a mano para lograr que más vacunas estén disponibles para la población salvadoreña.

Y es que, desde el inicio de la pandemia el Gobierno se comprometió en velar por la salud de los salvadoreños.
