Nayib Bukele promete no permitir retrocesos mientras tenga “fuerzas”

El presidente de El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, prometió este martes (01.06.2021) en un discurso a la nación -en el marco de su segundo año de mandato- que no permitirá que el país retroceda al sistema que generó delincuencia, corrupción y pobreza mientras que “Dios me dé fuerzas”.

“Nunca más vamos a regresar al sistema que por dos siglos nos hundió en la delincuencia, en la corrupción, en la desigualdad y en la pobreza, nunca más. No se hagan ilusiones, mientras Dios me dé fuerzas, no lo voy a permitir”, dijo Bukele en su discurso ante la Asamblea Legislativa que fue trasmitido en cadena nacional de radio y televisión.

El mandatario, que aseguró que El Salvador ha entrado en una “nueva etapa” y que debe vencer al “aparato ideológico” de antiguos Gobiernos, no entró en detalles ni explicó si esto implica buscar la reelección. La Constitución salvadoreña prohíbe la reelección inmediata y la jurisprudencia constitucional establece que un presidente solo puede buscar un nuevo mandato 10 años después de salir del Ejecutivo.

Bukele, al criticar a las administraciones anteriores, afirmó que el país tuvo una “democracia falsa”, a pesar de que ese mismo sistema fue el que le permitió llegar al Ejecutivo en junio de 2019, y añadió que hasta antes de su llegada al poder “todo era un teatro” y era “cinismo e hipocresía”.

El primer discurso de Bukele ante el Parlamento

Esta es la primera vez que el mandatario se presentó al Congreso para rendir cuentas sobre su gestión, pero en su discurso se limitó a criticar a sus adversarios, a la comunidad internacional y fue escueto en mencionar las acciones que en su Gobierno se han implementado.
