Gobierno salvadoreño refuerza inspecciones para garantizar reducción de precios en combustibles

En respuesta a las condiciones favorables en el mercado internacional, las gasolinas en El Salvador experimentan una tendencia a la baja en sus precios finales. La Dirección de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) del gobierno salvadoreño está intensificando las inspecciones en estaciones de servicio para asegurar que los proveedores respeten la disminución de precios.

Con reducciones significativas desde octubre, la gasolina superior ha disminuido un 16.6%, la regular un 15.8%, y el diésel un 9.1%. El presidente Bukele ha instado a redoblar esfuerzos para que los ciudadanos se beneficien de esta disminución, marcando la tercera baja consecutiva hasta noviembre de 2023.

El titular de la DGEHM, Daniel Álvarez, anunció que las verificaciones comenzaron en San Salvador y se extenderán a otras regiones del país. Además de garantizar la aplicación de las variaciones de precios, los equipos técnicos también se centran en acciones como la revisión de equipos de seguridad, la correcta exhibición de precios y la calidad del producto ofrecido.

A lo largo de 2023, la DGEHM ha llevado a cabo más de 5,650 inspecciones en estaciones de servicio y embarcaciones que traen combustible al país, con un enfoque clave en la medición de inventarios para prevenir alzas no justificadas. Hasta ahora, se han identificado 124 incumplimientos de la ley que están siendo debidamente abordados, consolidando al Gobierno como un actor clave para prevenir abusos y prácticas ilícitas, y destacando a El Salvador como uno de los países con precios de combustibles más bajos en Centroamérica.
