Gobierno ha aplicado más de 8.5 millones de dosis de vacunas COVID-19 en el país

El Gobierno del Presidente, Nayib Bukele, mantiene el esfuerzo interinstitucional para salvaguardar la vida de la población ante la emergencia generada por el coronavirus, por ello mantiene a escala nacional las jornadas de vacunación los domingos, como parte del Plan Nacional de Vacunación antiCOVID-19.

Cuidar de la salud de los salvadoreños es prioridad del Gobierno y se ha demostrado desde el inicio de la pandemia; por ello, el Ejecutivo ya suma la adquisición de 42 lotes de vacunas antiCOVID-19, lo cual representa 13,148,960 dosis en el territorio.

Con la ejecución del Plan Nacional de Vacunación han sido habilitados más de 160 centros de vacunación, tres autocentros, más de 30 centros de vacunación móvil y jornadas de vacunación casa por casa para que los salvadoreños accedan de forma universal, voluntaria y gratuita a la dosis del fármaco.

El ejemplar plan de vacunación que mantiene el Gobierno desde el pasado 17 de febrero, ha permitido que El Salvador sea de los pocos países del mundo donde las personas desde los 6 años pueden acceder a la vacuna, así estar protegido contra el virus SARS-CoV-2.

A la fecha, el Gobierno, a través del Ministerio de Salud, ha aplicado 8,516,654 dosis de vacunas, de las cuales 4,308,437 corresponden a primera dosis; 3,789,392 de segunda dosis; 412,754 quienes ya recibieron la tercera dosis y 6,071 dosis aplicadas a extranjeros.

El trabajo articulado e interinstitucional ha facilitado llevar la vacuna de manera oportuna a los salvadoreños en todo el territorio, incluso a zonas de difícil acceso en el interior de la República.

Es importante que la población mantenga en vigencia las medidas de bioseguridad, tales como el lavado de manos, la desinfección en los hogares, ambientes laborales, lugares de recreación y evitar las concentraciones de personas.
