Rousseff solicitará anulación de juicio político en su contra

La defensa de la presidenta constitucional de Brasil, Dilma Rousseff, anunció que este martes solicitará la anulación del “impeachment” que la separó de su cargo el pasado el 12 de mayo de 2016, ante la prueba que confirma la compra de votos para la aprobación del juicio político.

“Quedó demostrado que el exdiputado Eduardo Cunha (expresidente de la Cámara de Diputados) compró votos de parlamentarios en favor del impeachment”, afirmó este lunes en un comunicado el abogado unes de Rousseff, José Eduardo Cardozo.

En declaraciones a la Procuraduría General, confesó haber entregado a Cunha un millón de reales (unos 315.000 dólares) para comprar los votos de los diputados y aprobar la votación a favor del proceso de destitución.

Cardozo anunció que solicitarán incluir dicha confesión en la petición aún no juzgada por el Tribunal Supremo Federal, para anular la destitución de “una presidenta legítimamente elegida”.

“Entendemos que en defensa de la Constitución y del Estado Democrático de Derecho el Poder Judicial no podrá dejar de pronunciarse, determinando la anulación del impeachment de Dilma Rousseff por notorio desvío de poder y por la ausencia de cualquier prueba de que haya practicado delitos de responsabilidad”, indicó el abogado.

La decisión de alejar a la mandataria de su cargo se basó en la confesión de Lúcio Funaro, quien admitió después ante la justicia haber ayudado a comprar votos entre los diputados para destituir a Rousseff.

El inicio del proceso contra la presidenta constitucional se basó en el supuesto delito cometido por la mandataria al autorizar unas maniobras de maquillaje fiscal para esconder un déficit a las arcas del Estado. Durante el juicio político en su contra no se presentaron pruebas concretas.

El abogado de la defensa reitero que pedirán este martes que se considere la prueba que confirma irregularidades en la aprobación del impeachment contra “una presidenta legítimamente elegida”.
