Condenan a 8 meses de prisión por insultos racistas a tres aficionados del Valencia.

En una decisión sin precedentes, tres seguidores del Valencia han sido condenados a 8 meses de cárcel por proferir insultos racistas contra Vinicius Jr. del Real Madrid. La sentencia también les prohíbe acceder a estadios durante dos años y deben pagar las costas del juicio.

Este fallo, que marca un hito en la lucha contra el racismo en el fútbol español, surge de una denuncia de LaLiga respaldada por el Real Madrid y el propio Vinicius Jr. La sentencia, emitida por el Juzgado de Instrucción nº 10 de Valencia, encontró a los acusados culpables de un delito contra la integridad moral con agravante de discriminación racial.

El presidente de LaLiga, Javier Tebas, consideró la decisión como un paso adelante en la erradicación del racismo en el fútbol español, mientras que el Valencia destacó su colaboración en el caso al identificar y expulsar a los infractores.

El Gobierno brasileño elogió la sentencia, señalando su importancia en la lucha contra el racismo en el deporte, mientras que Gianni Infantino, presidente de la FIFA, la consideró un paso positivo. Sin embargo, Ednaldo Rodrigues, de la Confederación Brasileña de Fútbol, la calificó como “blanda”, aunque reconoció su relevancia en la lucha continua contra el racismo.

Vinicius Jr. en la red social X agradecido el apoyo y destaca que esta sentencia no es solo para él, sino para todos los afectados por el racismo. Su mensaje es claro: el racismo no tiene cabida en el fútbol ni en ninguna parte.
