Campeona Olímpica Anna Kiesenhofer Cae en Vuelta Ciclista

La mañana de hoy se tornó sombría para la destacada ciclista Anna Kiesenhofer, portadora del título de campeona olímpica. Un inesperado revés la golpeó en el tramo entre Nejapa de Quezaltepeque, cuando sufrió una dolorosa caída que la obligó a ser evacuada de urgencia a un centro hospitalario. Este incidente ha dejado en vilo su participación en la vuelta ciclista.

Originaria de Viena, Austria, y nacida el 14 de febrero de 1991, Kiesenhofer es una figura reconocida tanto por sus hazañas deportivas como por su brillante trayectoria académica. Además de destacarse como una pedalista excepcional, posee un doctorado en matemáticas obtenido en la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, España.

Aunque actualmente defiende los colores del equipo Roland de Suiza, favorito para conquistar la vuelta ciclista Tour El Salvador 2024, Anna ha dejado su impronta en otras escuadras como el Lotto Soudal y el Solté de España.

Entre sus logros más sobresalientes figura la medalla de oro obtenida en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020, donde se convirtió en la primera atleta austríaca en ganar una presea olímpica en ciclismo de ruta. Este triunfo también marcó el retorno de su país al podio olímpico después de dos décadas.
