TikTok ahora le apuesta a la función de Stories en su plataforma

Hoy en día, cuando una persona menciona la palabra “Historias” en internet, es muy complicado, sin un contexto previo, reconocer a qué red social se refiere. En los últimos años, aplicaciones como Instagram, Snapchat e incluso Twitter (aunque esta ya las eliminó) decidieron aventurarse a una función en la que sus usuarios pueden subir contenido multimedia que, además de corto, no durará más de 24 horas en cada plataforma.

Por esto, aunque todas las redes cuentan con un nombre diferente para esta herramienta (en Instagram es Stories, en Pinterest son las Idea Pins, en Twitter eran los Fleets), para la mayoría de las personas estas son simplemente “historias” adaptadas a cada plataforma: “Las historias de … (añadir el nombre de la red social)”.

Ahora bien, cuando parecía que no podría ser más confusa esta situación, aparece TikTok anunciando su propia función de historias, que en primera medida se ha lanzado como una prueba beta que podrán disfrutar tan solo algunos de los “tiktokers” en su plataforma.

“Siempre estamos pensando en nuevas formas de aportar valor a nuestra comunidad y enriquecer la experiencia de TikTok (…) Actualmente, estamos experimentando formas de darles a los creadores formatos adicionales para dar vida a sus ideas creativas para la comunidad de TikTok”, explicó un portavoz de TikTok.

De acuerdo con la información que se ha filtrado recientemente, el nombre de la función será simplemente “TikTok Stories”, y tal como funciona con Instagram, serán representadas dentro de la app con la foto de la persona que publicó la historia rodeada por un círculo luminoso.

Asimismo, se sabe que estará en una barra localizada en uno de los laterales de la pantalla, en la que aparecerán las historias de las personas que cada usuario sigue en TikTok, mismas que no durarán más de 24 horas al aire.
