FESPAD, IDHUCA, ASDEHU Y CPDH brindaron conferencia de prensa, sobre las propuestas que organizaciones presentaran a la comisión de las naciones unidas ante la situación de vulneración de derechos en el pais
Las organizaciones salvadoreñas que trabajan por la población transgénero contra la homo-lesbo-bi-transfobia.
Presentan este día la demanda al Estado salvadoreños sobre la necesidad de legislar por una Ley de Identidad de Género, porque es el momento para exigir el reconocimiento de nuestra identidad de género.
Con el objetivo de crear un plan de incidencia para la creación de la Ley de Identidad de Género es que hombres y mujeres TRANS (transexuales y transgénero) han iniciado un diálogo nacional.
El objetivo de este dialogo es hacer primordialmente un plan de incidencia, por medio de presentar antecedentes de lo que se ha hecho hasta el momento, que es una ley, para que sirve además analizar viabilidad de la misma en el país, en representación de todas las organizaciones TRANS y activistas independientes.
Para la realización de este diálogo se han convocado a mujeres y hombres TRANS de los 14 departamentos, esto para que el proceso sea participativo y democrático.
Las organizaciones TRANS, consideran que una Ley de Identidad proporcionaría un marco jurídico que propiciará el respeto a la identidad de las personas transexuales y transgénero; además garantizará su libre desarrollo en la sociedad.
La ley habilita el reclamo de la rectificación registral del género, sexo y cambio de nombre social por vía de un trámite administrativo ante el Registro Nacional de las Personas Naturales”, cita el comunicado.
Las organizaciones aseveran que, actualmente, en El Salvador existen mujeres y hombres TRANS que están siendo desprotegidas y vulnerables a diferentes vejámenes por no tener documentos legales que atesten a su género.
Los beneficios de la Ley de Identidad serán a rectificación del nombre y sexo en la partida de nacimiento; la obtención de un nuevo documento de identidad; la ley estipularía el trato digno; reducirá el estigma y discriminación por identidad de género, entre otras cosas.
La Ley de Identidad está vigente en Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia y en el Distrito Federal de México.
