Unidades de la Delegación de la PNC de San Salvador Centro y de la Fuerza Armada, incrementaron sus patrullajes en la capital, con el fin de mantener la reducción de los indicadores de criminalidad en la ciudad.
La policía y las tropas del ejército se desplazaron simultáneamente por diferentes puntos del centro histórico de San Salvador, con el propósito de generar confianza, entre transeúntes, comerciantes, y trabajadores, quienes a diario caminan por esas calles, informó la PNC en un comunicado.
Equipos combinados de la Fuerza de Tarea Centro Histórico (FTCH), de los motorizados, Fuerza Armada, Sección Táctica Operativo (STO), así como de la División de Seguridad Fronteriza y de Seguridad Publica, recorrieron las principales calles y avenidas céntricas para el resguardo de la seguridad ciudadana, añadió el reporte.
El oficial a cargo del dispositivo de seguridad, Inspector Jefe Álvaro Díaz, mostró su satisfacción como Delegación San Salvador, ya que según dijo, “ha habido una considerable reducción de los homicidios, reflejando 168 casos menos que el año anterior, lo cual significa un 47.72 por ciento de disminución”.
Según dijo el jefe policial, el año anterior, para este mes de noviembre se contabilizaban 394 casos de homicidio, mientras que en este año se tiene 206 casos, una reducción de casi la mitad.
En cuanto al delito de robo, el año anterior se tenían hasta esta fecha un total de 525 y para el presente se contabilizan 397, lo que significa 128 casos menos; al igual que el hurto, en el 2016 se reflejaron 1,023 y este año se cuenta con 818, es decir 205 casos menos, explicó el jefe policial.
En los patrullajes participan unos 200 elementos, entre policías y soldados, quienes realizan registros de personas y vehículos, como medidas de carácter preventivo.
