Pareja gay protagonista de una telenovela

Atrás quedaron los estereotipos. La cadena Televisa apuesta por su nueva telenovela “Papá a toda madre”, con una pareja gay como protagonista.

Con esto, la cadena espera dar un ejemplo sobre la importancia de respetar los derechos de la comunidad LGBTI y demostrar que las familias no solo están compuestas por madre, padre e hijos.

 

Los protagonistas de la telenovela son Maite Perroni y Sebastián Rulli, pero tendrá entre sus 5 protagonistas a dos hombres casados, que buscarán convertirse en padres, según la revista People en español.

 

En la trama, Rafael Restrepo y Rodrigo Conde deberán enfrentarse a la discriminación por ser homosexuales y tendrán que demostrar que su preferencia sexual no les impide amar.

 

“La historia trata de eso, ver qué familia no es necesariamente papá, mamá e hijos. Así está la vida y creo que hay que retratarla y hablar de ella sin tapujos y de la manera más honesta y más sencilla y así es como entra en la sociedad, tenemos que hablarlo”, dijo Eduardo Meza, productor de la novela, cita el diario El Universal.

 

Por su parte, Andrés Zuno, quien encarnará a Rafael Restrepo dijo que, en esta historia, la pareja deberá enfrentarse a “mentes cerradas”.

“Son una pareja de chavos enamorados que llegan a enfrentarse a la aceptación de todos estos niños que viven por ahí y de algunas mentes cerradas, entonces cómo empezar a cambiar conciencias, a abrir la conversación, ver la convivencia real que existe en la sociedad y que nos tenemos que enfrentar a esta diversidad maravillosa”, citó.

 

Esta es la primera vez que Televisa toca el tema de la homosexualidad tan abiertamente en una telenovela. Anteriormente, hubo actores que protagonizaron a personajes homosexuales como en “Las tontas no van al cielo” o “Que pobres tan ricos”, pero de una manera más implícita.

“Ya lo hemos hecho en otras novelas y siempre lo hemos hecho con respeto, con cariño y con amor, no se trata de ridiculizar, es más bien plantearle a la gente y mostrarle que hay una variedad, el discurso sería a favor de la diversidad”, añadió Meza
