El hermano de Elon Musk gana casi 110 millones de dólares al vender acciones de Tesla

Kimbal Musk, miembro de la junta directiva de Tesla y hermano de su director general Elon Musk, ha ganado casi 110 millones de dólares tras vender acciones del fabricante de autos eléctricos.

Según un informe de la Comisión de Bolsa y Valores de Estados Unidos, el directivo compró el viernes pasado 25.000 acciones de Tesla a 74,17 dólares por acción e inmediatamente las vendió en partes por entre 1.223 y 1.236 dólares, generando unos 108,8 millones de dólares en beneficios.

Kimbal Musk todavía cuenta con más de 511.000 acciones de Tesla, valoradas en alrededor de 594 millones de dólaresinforma MarketWatch.

El pasado fin de semana, Elon Musk publicó en su perfil de Twitter una encuesta en la que preguntaba a sus seguidores si debe vender el 10 % de sus acciones que tiene en la empresa, prometiendo cumplir con lo que dicte la opinión pública.

La respuesta se conoció el domingo por la tarde con un 57,9 %, de los 3,5 millones de participantes, que se mostraron a favor de la venta. Como resultado el precio de las acciones de Tesla descendió casi un 5 % este lunes.

La encuesta del empresario llegó después de que la Administración de Joe Biden anunciara planes de aplicar un impuesto para los multimillonarios con el fin de ayudar a financiar el aumento del gasto social. Según la actual ley fiscal de EE.UU., los activos, como las acciones, solo se gravan cuando se venden.
