Aterriza en Argentina un avión con un millón de vacunas de Sinopharm provenientes de China

El vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas llegó al Aeropuerto de Ezeiza tras una operación que demandó 48 horas en total.

Un vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas que trasladó desde China un millón de dosis de la vacuna Sinopharm contra el coronavirus arribó este jueves a Buenos Aires, informaron desde la compañía aérea.

El Airbus 330-200, matrícula LV-GIF, con la nominación AR1050, aterrizó en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Ezeiza a las 21:28 (hora local), después de haber partido desde Pekín el miércoles a las 18:50 de Argentina, y tras haber realizado una escala en Madrid para cargar combustible.

Según informó oficialmente la aerolínea, el tiempo de carga de un millón de dosis de la vacuna Sinopharm en China fue de cuatro horas y media.

En tanto, tal como ya a ocurrido en los vuelos anteriores a Moscú, Rusia, para el traslado de las Sputnik V, viajaron a bordo de la aeronave 20 tripulantes, entre comandantes, copilotos y personal técnico.

Para el traslado de los inoculadores, que en este caso requieren de una refrigeración entre 2 y 8 °C, se utilizaron “envirotainers“, unos contenedores especiales con control activo de temperatura, detalló el presidente de Aerolíneas, Pablo Ceriani, quien estimó que, en total, la operación demandó unas 48 horas.

Este millón de dosis permitirá inmunizar a 500.000 personas en Argentina, ya que se requieren de dos aplicaciones por persona, con una efectividad cercana al 80 %.

La compañía aérea estatal recordó que “Aerolíneas Argentinas ya realizó cuatro vuelos a la ciudad de Moscú” y que en esos viajes “arribaron al país un total de 1.220.000 dosis de Sputnik V”.

Sinopharm es, junto con Sinovac, una de las dos compañías farmacéuticas chinas que han creado su vacuna mediante el uso de un virus inactivo para desencadenar una respuesta inmune.

Argentina continúa batallando contra la pandemia de covid-19, que ya ha causado en el país un total de 2.093.645 casos positivos y 51.795 fallecidos hasta la fecha.
