Apple trabaja en tecnología para obtener dispositivos mas seguros

El sistema podrá incluir un procesador de enclave seguro (SEP) que limitará el acceso solo a lo que el usuario específico esté autorizado a utilizar.

Apple sigue desarrollando su tecnología Secure Enclave para permitir que varias personas compartan de forma segura un iPhone o iPad sin revelar su información privada a los demás usuarios. Se trata de una función similar a la que actualmente está disponible en los ordenadores Mac.

Según una patente otorgada a la empresa y citada por el portal especializado AppleInsider, cada usuario de estos dispositivos tendrá su propio conjunto de ajustes personales, como datos biométricos (Face ID), un código de acceso y ajustes del sistema, entre otros. Además, será posible crear claves de grupo y habilitar diferentes niveles de acceso al sistema, por ejemplo, como administradores o usuarios.

Al activar una cuenta determinada, el iOS terminará la sesión anterior e iniciará una nueva. “Antes de que un usuario pueda obtener acceso a los datos almacenados en el dispositivo, se le puede exigir que se identifique mediante la pantalla de inicio de sesión“, explica el documento. “Sin embargo, todavía puede ser posible acceder a los datos almacenados en el sistema sin conocimiento de un nombre de usuario, contraseña o una clave de acceso si los datos se almacenan de forma no cifrada”, agrega.

Los especialistas detallan que el sistema “puede incluir un procesador de enclave seguro (SEP)” que limitará el acceso solo a lo que el usuario específico esté autorizado a utilizar.

Este no es el primer intento de Apple de configurar el iPhone como un dispositivo multiusuario. En 2013, la empresa solicitó el registro de una patente en la que una función similar se realizaba utilizando el sensor de huellas dactilares Touch ID.
