Apple anuncia sus gafas de realidad mixta: “Apple Vision Pro”

“Mezclar contenido digital con el mundo real nos permitirá crear nuevas experiencias como nunca antes hemos visto”, dijo el director general de Apple, Tim Cook.

Apple anunció el lanzamiento de Apple Vision Pro, un set de gafas y auriculares de realidad mixta con el que los usuarios podrán experimentar experiencias de realidad virtual (VR) y realidad aumentada (AR).

Esta es la primera introducción de nuevos productos desde el lanzamiento de su reloj Apple Watch en 2015 y la compañía lo ha calificado como una nueva era en su Conferencia Mundial de Desarrolladores que se celebra en su sede de Cupertino (EE.UU.).

El precio de salida será de 3.499 dólares y estará disponible a principios del próximo año en Estados Unidos, un precio mucho más alto que el de sus competidores. La compañía aún no dio detalles de la salida y los precios en otros países.

Tim Cook, el principal responsable de la compañía, describió esta tecnología como algo que parece mágico y un producto revolucionario. 

“Vision Pro es un nuevo tipo de computadora que aumenta la realidad al combinar a la perfección el mundo real con el mundo digital”, explicó Cook y dijo que con esta tecnología -que los usuarios pueden controlar con sus propios ojos y manos sin la necesidad de ningún mando- “la pantalla ya no limita el mundo que rodea (al usuario)”.
