“Estamos trabajando con la PNC para sacar a las pandillas de circulación”, Ministro de Defensa René Merino Monroy

Como parte de las acciones para combatir la delincuencia, el Ministro de Defensa René Francis Merino Monroy destacó el trabajo conjunto que realiza con la Policía Nacional Civil (PNC) en la ejecución del Plan Control Territorial “Estamos trabajando con la PNC para sacar a las pandillas de circulación. A partir del régimen de excepción se ha sacado a los pandilleros de las zonas urbanas, esto ha hecho que migren al área rural” destacó en una entrevista televisiva.

Estos grupos delictivos han creado campamentos clandestinos al huir al área rural “Muchos se han desmantelado” enfatizó el funcionario de defensa. Se han encontrado municiones para armamento largo y corto.

“Los resultados que hay hasta este momento por el régimen de excepción son positivos y contundentes” enfatizó el Ministro de Defensa y agregó que gracias a la ejecución del Plan Control Territorial y al actual Régimen de Excepción la población está percibiendo los resultados del mismo y “Muchos comerciantes se han visto favorecidos ya que no pagan renta a los pandilleros” dijo.

Según datos proporcionados por el Ministro de Defensa “se han desmantelado más de 100 campamentos clandestinos” y como parte de las mejoras “Ya se encuentran en camino los vehículos SandCat con blindaje adecuado para el combate de las pandillas” referente al combate de la delincuencia.

“La Fuerza Naval Tridente ha contribuido de manera contundente al detener la narcoactividad” y agregó que desde la implementación del Plan Control Territorial en 2019 se han logrado el decomiso de 20 toneladas de droga y enfatizó que “La lucha contra el narcotráfico está incidiendo en la captura de pandilleros”.

La denuncia ciudadana es clave para el combate a la delincuencia, al respecto el Ministro de Defensa agregó que “Nosotros seguimos desplegados en todo el territorio nacional. Agradecemos la denuncia de los ciudadanos para poder llegar y brindar seguridad a sus comunidades, invitamos a que lo sigan haciendo”.
