TSE Reporta 1,368 Llamadas Falsas en el Centro de Llamadas del Voto Remoto

El Tribunal Supremo Electoral (TSE) ha registrado un alto número de llamadas falsas, alcanzando 1,368, al call center destinado a resolver dudas de los votantes en el exterior.

Durante el programa “La Tertulia” de canal TVO, el magistrado Noel Orellana informó que están identificando los números desde los cuales se realizan estas llamadas falsas y planean informar a la Fiscalía General de la República para investigar posibles delitos.

Orellana también señaló que personas no registradas para el voto por Internet intentan acceder a la plataforma. Solo están habilitadas aquellas con domicilio en el extranjero en su Documento Único de Identidad (DUI). Además, destacó que la verificación biométrica facial requiere suficiente iluminación al capturar la imagen del rostro.

Hasta ahora, más de 40,000 votos se han emitido a través de la modalidad remota, superando diez veces la totalidad de votos de las elecciones de 2019 en tan solo tres días de habilitación.

La Ley Especial para el Ejercicio del Sufragio desde el Extranjero establece un plazo de 30 días para emitir el voto por Internet, que inició el 6 de enero y finalizará a las 5:00 de la tarde del 4 de febrero. La segunda modalidad, el voto electrónico presencial, se llevará a cabo solo el 4 de febrero, estimando la participación de unas 300,000 personas en 81 centros de votación en diferentes países.
