Yerno de Sánchez Cerén recibió complementos salariales por más de $2 mil dólares mensuales

Oswaldo Vaquero León, yerno del expresidente Salvador Sánchez Cerén, recibió complementos salariales de $2 mil 700 mensuales y construyó  una vivienda con bienes públicos, detalló este lunes la Fiscalía General de la República (FGR).

De acuerdo con el Ministerio Público, Vaquero utilizó mano de obra y maquinaria del Ministerio de Defensa para construir una vivienda de lujo, ubicada en la colonia Útila, municipio de Santa Tecla.

Este lunes, el Juzgado Quinto de Paz  inició la audiencia en contra de Vaquero, quien se encuentra prófugo de la justicia.  En el proceso, tampoco se presentó el abogado defensor.

Por lo tanto, el juez optó por enviar el caso a fase de instrucción.

Actualmente, el exmandatario es procesado por los delitos de peculado y lavado de dinero por $183.6 millones de dólares durante su gestión. Este dinero, que se encontraba  en la partida presupuestaria de “Gastos Reservados”, fue trasladado a seis cuentas bancarias no autorizadas por la Dirección General de Tesorería del Ministerio de Hacienda.

Por otra parte, la Fiscalía señaló que se desviaron $3,968,547.19, que era parte del donativo de la Embajada de la República de China (Taiwán), a cuentas a supuestos proveedores. Sin embargo, no se estableció el vínculo entre dichas empresas y la presidencia.  

Actualmente,  Sánchez Cerén se encuentra refugiado en Nicaragua, bajo el régimen de Daniel Ortega, al igual que su antecesor, Mauricio Funes, quien también es procesado por lavado de dinero y peculado durante su mandato.
