Tony Saca podría obtener su libertad este año según el Tribunal Superior

La Cámara Mixta de Tránsito y de Vigilancia Penitenciaria informó sobre la confirmación de la resolución del juzgado Segundo de Vigilancia Penitenciaria que señala que el expresidente Elías Antonio Saca, quien ha tenido condena por corrupto confeso, deberá de cumplir su condena de prisión en octubre de 2026, por lo que en octubre de este año cumplirá la media pena y ya podrá pedir la libertad anticipada, según informaron fuentes judiciales.

El referido juzgado resolvió en septiembre pasado que Saca deberá de cumplir con su pena de prisión el 29 de octubre de 2026, lo que significa que él cumplirá la media pena el 29 de octubre de este año y podrá pedir la libertad anticipada.

“El señor Saca fue detenido el 30 de octubre de 2016, entonces, tendrá que cumplir la pena de diez años, el 29 de octubre de 2026”

Argumentó la jueza del caso

Antonio Saca fue condenado en septiembre de 2018 a 10 años de cárcel tras confesar el saqueo de $301 millones del Estado, siendo corrupto confeso, pero fue hasta en diciembre de 2019 que quedó firme la sentencia condenatoria.

En septiembre de 2019, Alias Antonio fue condenado también a dos años de prisión luego de confesar haberle pagado $10,000 a una empleada judicial para que le ayudara en el proceso de enriquecimiento ilícito de su exsecretario privado, Elmer Charlaix.
