Señales de que podrías tener covid-19 y no una simple gripe

Los síntomas leves de coronavirus y los de una gripe podrían confundirse fácilmente, por ello es importante saber diferenciarlos.

El covid-19 y la gripe son enfermedades muy diferentes, pero las similitudes entre sus síntomas hace que muchas veces se confundan entre sí, esto puede ser peligrosos ya que la clave para el tratamiento del coronavirus es que se atienda desde los primeros síntomas, hay personas que han padecido la enfermedad con síntomas leves y que han dado por hecho que solo se trataba de un resfriado, por ello vale la pena aprender a diferenciar la sintomatología de ambas y así descartar un contagio de coronavirus, estas son algunas de las claves para detectarlo.

Congestión nasal Es importante recordar que la gripe comúnmente inicia con congestión nasal un síntoma que no está presente con frecuencia en los pacientes de coronavirus, también cabe destacar que este suele aparecer antes que la fiebre, lo que ocurre con el virus es que se puede presentar la pérdida del olfato pero no congestión, por ello si sufres de este síntoma, lo más probable es que sea un resfriado común.

Orden e intensidad de los síntomas En el caso de la gripe lo que ocurre es que aparece de golpe con síntomas combinados y un malestar más intenso, el coronavirus por otro lado es más lento en comparación, sus síntomas aparecen gradualmente y van ganando intensidad conforme avanza la enfermedad, después de días puede aumentar progresivamente.

Falta de aire La imposibilidad de respirar con normalidad no es frecuente cuando se padece un resfriado común, es un síntoma más grave del coronavirus y parece ser que aunque sea de forma leve, las dificultades respiratorias son exclusivas del covid-19 en este caso, no es un algo que se comparta con la gripe, por ello, incluso si se sufre en menor intensidad puede ser una señal clave.
