Organizaciones de la sociedad civil externaron preocupación por proceso de elección de magistrados

La Comisión Política de la Asamblea ha entrevistado a 10 aspirantes

Organizaciones de la sociedad civil externaron su preocupación por la elección de magistrados a la Corte Suprema de Justicia (CSJ), que inició en la Asamblea Legislativa.

El Director Ejecutivo de Acción Ciudadana, Eduardo Escobar, confirmó que en las entrevistas han notado una clara inclinación o búsqueda de afinidad de los candidatos con el Gobierno.

 “Las preguntas que hemos visto hasta la fecha están dirigidas a profundizar su afinidad con la política del Gobierno”, y que no buscan “independencia, idoneidad y capacidad” de los aspirantes.

La directora del área de transparencia de FUNDE, Jessica Estrada, también aseguró que el perfil que por ahora los diputados estarían buscando es el de una persona “que resulte leal al proyecto político del Ejecutivo y Legislativo”.

“Ya vimos lo que ocurrió el rimero de mayo que cinco magistrados fueron elegidos -para sustituir a los destituidos- por su afinidad con el Gobierno y que están haciendo un papel lejos de lo que se espera en la Corte”, dijo Estrada.

Las entrevistas sean solo pagar “guardar la forma”, ya que es un proceso que se tiene que hacer para realizar la elección, pues sospechan que ya se tienen los nombres de quiénes serían los próximos magistrados de la Corte.

La Comisión Política de la Asamblea ha entrevistado a 10 aspirantes. Tienen hasta el 3 de junio para nombrar a los cinco magistrados propietarios y sus suplentes.
