Italia: Buscan a una pantera negra que se le habría escapado a un jefe de la mafia

    Algunos informes sugieren que el propietario del felino pudo haber sido influenciado por la serie de televisión ‘Gomorra’ para adquirirlo como mascota.

    Las autoridades del sur de Italia han decidido tomar medidas de seguridad mientras buscan a una pantera negra luego de que varias personas afirmaran haber visto al gran felino suelto en la región de Apulia, informan medios locales.

    El animal ha sido avistado en las últimas semanas paseándose libremente en diversas localidades de la provincia de Bari como Adelfia, Castellana Grotte y Acquaviva delle Fonti. La presencia del felino también fue confirmada por la Policía y un veterinario designado por el Servicio de Salud Local (ASL, por sus siglas en italiano) “mediante la detección de huellas y rastros orgánicos“.

    El alcalde de Acquaviva Davide Carlucci sugirió que es posible que el felino se haya escapado de la villa de un jefe de la mafia local, según un informe de The Times . Incluso se ha especulado con que el propietario de la pantera pudo haber sido influenciado por la serie de televisión ‘Gomorra’, en la que un gángster de Nápoles tiene uno de estos animales como mascota.

    Varias imágenes difundidas en redes sociales muestran al supuesto depredador deambulando por los campos. Uno de los testigos comentó que el animal parecía “asustado y confundido”, como si hubiera sido “criado en una casa”.

    Con el fin de proteger a la ciudadanía, carabineros forestales, bomberos y protección civil se han lanzado a la caza del animal. Asimismo, algunos municipios han prohibido cierto tipo de actividades al aire libre, evitar realizar trabajos agrícolas y recomendaron tener vigiladas a sus mascotas, además de evitar comportamientos agresivos para no espantar al felino.

    Aunque de momento no se han reportado personas heridas o daños a la propiedad, las autoridades han colocado trampas para intentar atrapar a la pantera con vida. La Policía Forestal italiana también ha estado patrullando el área local con el uso de drones.

    “No hay necesidad de entrar en pánico, pero sea prudente”, afirmó días atrás el alcalde de Castellana Grotte, Francesco De Ruvo.
