Gobierno garantiza bloqueo de la señal telefónica en las cárceles

Esta medida es para evitar que salgan órdenes de las cárceles para ejecutar delitos

El Gobierno del Presidente Nayib Bukele, por medio de la Superintendencia General de Electricidad y Telecomunicaciones (SIGET), estan monitoreando para verificar la el bloqueo de la señal telefónica en todos los centros penales de El Salvador.

“Con el bloqueo de señal de voz y datos en todos los Centros Penales hemos contribuido a la reducción de homicidios, extorsiones y otros delitos que antes se ordenaban desde las cárceles”

Las investigaciones por las diferentes unidades de Inteligencia de la Policía Nacional Civil (PNC) y de Centros Penales han afirmado que muchos de los delitos en el país, como homicidios, extorsiones y robos eran ordenados desde los centros penitenciarios.

“Este Sistema de bloqueo de señal está instalado en todos los Centros Penales y se está monitoreando 24/7 que no exista señal de voz ni datos”.

Además, el funcionario dice: “También llevaron a cabo monitorios de señal presencial, y yo llevo siempre un celular de cada operador a los Centros Penales para verificar personalmente que no exista señal. Estamos salvando vidas cuando no sale una llamada de las cárceles”, expresó el superintendente.

El corte de la comunicación desde los penales, junto a otras acciones hechas por la PNC y la Fuerza Armada de El Salvador, ha generado una reducción sostenida de los índices de criminalidad, principalmente en el delito de homicidios y las extorsiones.
