Asamblea Legislativa aprobó unificar el número de (DUI) con el (NIT)

La modificación tiene como objetivo "simplificar los procesos de tributación".

En la sesión plenaria número 28, realizada este día, los legisladores aprobaron con 79 votos a favor una reforma a la Ley del Registro y Control Especial de Contribuyentes al Fisco.

La modificación tiene como propósito unificar el número del Documento Único de Identidad (DUI) con el Número de Identificación Tributaria (NIT), esto con el fin de “simplificar los procesos de tributación”.

“Al momento de emitir el DUI, se enlazará con la autoridad competente, a fin de que el número y los datos a los que hace referencia el Art. 87 del Código Tributario y esta iniciativa, queden incorporados en el sistema de registro y control especial de contribuyentes al fisco”, expone el dictamen y se agrega que “en referencia a las personas jurídicas, la iniciativa aclara que siempre se les asignará un NIT, siendo este un número único permanente, que una vez expedido no podrá modificarse ni asignarse a otro sujeto”.

El cambio en la Ley, el presidente de la Asamblea Legislativa y diputado del partido Nuevas Ideas, Ernesto Castro, expresó que “este es un pequeño paso que pudo darse antes, pero no se hizo porque no se pensaba en los salvadoreños ni en facilitar la realización de trámites y en modernizar el país”.

El diputado del partido GANA, Guillermo Gallegos, señaló que la decisión fue por el Congreso y concordó con los demás legisladores que es un paso a la dinamización de la gestión pública.

El mandatario de la República, Nayib Bukele, expresó por medio de su cuenta de Twitter que dicha decisión de los diputados ayudará a que “todo (sea) menos engorroso y sencillo, a reducir la tramitomanía y a modernizar nuestro país”.
