Alcaldía de Chalatenango realiza monitoreos en un tramo de la carretera Troncal del Norte conocido como ‘’El Tunel’’, por alerta de deslizamientos

La alcaldía de La Palma, en Chalatenango, afirmó que se prepara para la llegada del huracán Eta con constantes monitores preventivos, en zonas como la cárcava La Zompopera, ubicada en el cantón El Aguacatal, así como un tramo de la carretera Troncal del Norte conocido como ‘’El Tunel’’, por alerta de deslizamientos y fuertes ráfagas de viento.

Asimismo, la emergencia, la alcaldía destinó cuatro centros de albergue en la zona urbana del municipio y diferentes centros de acogimiento, entre estos escuelas, iglesias, y casas comunales, en los siete cantones que forman parte de la zona rural de la municipalidad.   

Se contabilizan albergados por la alerta, ni se registran lluvias en la zona, se cuenta con más de 60 familias en peligro por deslaves y fuertes vientos, 30 de estos aledaños a la cárcava La Zompopera.

Debido a esto, autoridades municipales realizaron desde el día de ayer, cuando el territorio se encontraba todavía en alerta amarilla, la activación de la comisión municipal, con la finalidad de realizar un constante monitoreo de la mano con los líderes comunales de La Palma, y de concientización ante un desalojo si así fuera necesario.

El coordinador de la Unidad Ambiental y la Gestión de Riesgo de La Palma, Herber Vásquez, indicó que en los diferentes albergues se contará con medidas de bioseguridad ante el coronavirus.

Nosotros facilitamos los insumos con alcohol gel, desinfectantes, para checar la temperatura, el MINSAL  facilita botiquines e incluso si es necesario se mueve la gente al establecimiento de salud’’.Herber Vásquez, coordinador de la Unidad Ambiental y la Gestión de Riesgo de La Palma.

La alcaldía dispone de cuatro centros de albergue en la zona rural, y diferentes escuelas, iglesias y comunales en las zona urbana.
