El confinamiento vivido en El Salvador al inicio de la pandemia del COVID-19 trajo consigo algunas afectaciones, como el estrés, ansiedad y la depresión, en muchos jóvenes salvadoreños. Para dar respuesta a esta problemática, el Gobierno del Presidente Nayib Bukele, a través del Instituto Nacional de la Juventud (INJUVE), brinda atención psicológica con el programa Positivamente.
Este programa es implementado por la Subdirección de Salud Integral del INJUVE, con el objetivo de ayudar a los jóvenes a recuperar sus estados de salud mental y a reincorporarse a sus actividades cotidianas posterior al confinamiento por el Coronavirus.
La psicóloga encargada de la atención del programa Positivamente, licenciada Gissela Moreno, manifestó que a inicios de la pandemia y durante el confinamiento se atendieron a 1,000 jóvenes de forma virtual, y posterior a este se han atendido a 437 jóvenes de forma presencial.
“Estamos trabajando para mejorar la calidad de vida de los jóvenes afectados por la pandemia. Les estamos enseñando a que no solamente resuelvan sus conflictos personales, sino que aprendan a implementar las técnicas y estrategias de la psicología científica que les ayudará a largo plazo”, destacó Moreno.
Asimismo, a los jóvenes se les brindan las atenciones psicológicas en instituciones educativas como el Instituto Nacional Francisco Menéndez (INFRAMEN) y el Instituto Técnico Industrial (INTI), espacios que han sido posibles debido a las alianzas estratégicas con el Ministerio de Educación. Pero la atención no se limita a esa modalidad.
“Estamos extendiendo los servicios de atención psicológica a más jóvenes en El Salvador, a través de brigadas de atención psicológica en centros escolares, previa coordinación con las sedes de Gobierno Joven, donde hemos atendido afectaciones como el miedo de jóvenes a contagiarse de la COVID-19 al regresar de forma presencial a sus clases”, expresó la licenciada Moreno.
