Las autoridades mexicanas señalan posibles causas de la tragedia del metro

Sin embargo, el secretario de Obras y Servicios de la Ciudad de México (CDMX), Jesús Antonio Esteva, recalcó que esperarán el resultado del peritaje.

El secretario de Obras y Servicios de la Ciudad de México, Jesús Antonio Esteva, dio detalles este miércoles sobre las posibles fallas que podrían haber ocasionado el colapso en el Metro de la capital mexicana, que ocasionó 25 muertes y 79 heridos.

“Está claro que hubo una falla en las estructuras metálicas”, dijo el funcionario en una entrevista con el canal Televisa. Y agregó que se debe esperar a que los peritos determinen cuál fue el origen de esa falla. 

Según explicó Esteva, en el lugar donde se derrumbó la vía del tren hay dos tramos, una de concreto prefabricado y otra de estructura metálica, y esta última la que presenta el problema.

El secretario señaló además que su equipo de trabajo fue encomendado por gobierno citadino a revisar todo el viaducto de la línea 12 del metro de manera preventiva. 

El accidente se produjo la noche del lunes al vencerse una viga del viaducto a la altura de la estación Olivos de la línea 12, cerca de las 22:00 (hora local), cuando el tren iba en marcha. La Fiscalía de Ciudad de México inició una investigación por homicidio culposo y daño a la propiedad tras la tragedia en el Metro. A su vez, el Gobierno de México declaró tres días de duelo nacional.
