La reina Isabell II rompe el silencio tras la entrevista del príncipe Enrique y Meghan Markle

La reina Isabell II comunicó este martes que toda la familia real “se entristece” al conocer los desafíos que el príncipe Enrique y Meghan Markle enfrentaron en los últimos años.

“Toda la familia se entristece al conocer el alcance de lo desafiantes que han sido los últimos años para Enrique y Meghan. Las cuestiones planteadas, especialmente las referentes a la raza, son preocupantes. Si bien algunos recuerdos pueden variar, son tomados muy en serio y la familia los abordará en privado”, declaró la reina.

“Enrique, Meghan y Archie siempre serán miembros de la familia muy queridos”, se agrega en el comunicado.

Se trata del primer comentario de la reina Isabell II sobre la reciente entrevista que los duques de Sussex concedieron a Oprah Winfrey. 

Principales revelaciones de los duques de Sussex

La entrevista con Oprah, la primera que concede la pareja desde que hace un año se desvinculara de la familia real británica, fue reveladora y polémica. En particular, Meghan Markle relató que la presión que ha tenido que enfrentar le hizo pensar en el suicidio, mientras que el príncipe Enrique declaró que si él y su esposa decidieron irse del Reino Unido fue “en gran parte” a causa del racismo.

La duquesa de Sussex también afirmó que, cuando estaba embarazada de su primogénito Archie, en la familia real hubo “preocupaciones y conversaciones sobre cuán oscura podría ser su piel cuando naciera”

Asimismo, la pareja anunció que Markle, que está embarazada de su segundo bebé, está esperando una niña, que nacerá el próximo verano.
