Japón advirtió que la balanza entre China y Taiwán podría estar a favor del régimen de Pekín.
Por su parte el gobierno chino protesta el carácter “exagerado” del último informe anual estratégico del Ministerio de Defensa japonés, desde donde se han expresado las advertencias.
El Ministerio de Defensa japonés ha avisado que China ha incrementado drásticamente sus “actividades militares de coerción” contra Taiwán a lo largo de 2022 y que el delicado equilibrio militar que aliviaba en parte la histórica tensión entre Pekín y Taipéi se está “inclinando rápidamente” a favor del Ejército chino, según las conclusiones del Informe Estratégico de Defensa presentado por el titular de la cartera, Yasukazu Hamada.
En el que Pekín tacha a la isla de Taiwán como “rebelde”. El Ministerio del país del sol naciente mencionó que la amenaza de “coersión” china se ve incrementada por el incremento de las aproximaciones de aviones de combate y fuerzas navales a la línea divisoria del estrecho.
Misma que delimita la zona de seguridad de toda la isla.
Los calculos mencionan que las aproximaciones chinas pasaron de 971 en 2021 a 1,733 en el año de 2022. Un incremento considerbale según muchos expertos.
“El hecho de que China esté desarrollando esta clase de actividades significa que la situación ahora mismo se está desarrollando en su beneficio”, reseñó por su parte la agencia oficial de noticias japonesa Kiodo.
Regresando al informe redactado por las autoridades en defensa niponas Japón percibe a China como “una cuestión de grave preocupación” para la comunidad internacional y avisa también que Pekín representa el “mayor desafio desafío estratégico” de la actualidad para Japón.
También en el documento se hace hincapié que lo representa igualmente para Estados Unidos y que en base a eso la isla (Japón) responda en “cooperación y colaboración” con sus socios norteamericanos.
Tokio ha ido acercando posturas con Taiwán, que rechaza la soberanía china, en particular desde la pandemia, con la entrega de vacunas a la isla. Ese mismo año, el Ministerio de Defensa japonés mencionó por primera vez a Taiwán por su nombre de facto en su informe anual de seguridad.
