Ícono de aplicación de Amazon genera polémica

El nuevo diseño presentado por la plataforma de comercio electrónico en enero generó numerosas reacciones negativas.

Amazon ha actualizado el nuevo ícono de su aplicación para evitar las asociaciones negativa que generó el diseño tras su lanzamiento en enero.

El nuevo diseño consistía en un cuadrado marrón imitando la forma de un paquete con un trozo de cinta azul en su parte superior que, combinado con una flecha horizontal en forma de sonrisa, le daba un aspecto parecido a un bigote de cepillo, lo que despertó numerosas reacciones negativas en redes sociales.

Este tipo de bigote fue muy popular a principios del siglo pasado hasta que empezó a ser asociado con el líder de la Alemania nazi Adolf Hitler, uno de los dictadores más sangrientos de la historia moderna.

“No hay nada brillante en este diseño ni tampoco icónico, es simplemente horrible. Tal vez sea abandonado, parece un Hitler sonriente”, comentó un tuitero.

“El nuevo logotipo de Amazon hace parecer como si fuera la TERCERA más descargada en la sección ‘Reich'”, escribió otro.

Para evitar esa asociación, la versión actualizada del diseño incorpora el doblado de una de las esquinas del cuadrado de cinta azul que, con un tono azul más claro, tiene como objetivo diferenciar su aspecto del del bigote del líder nazi.
