El valor de Alibaba a 58.000 millones de dólares por la aparición de Jack Ma en una videoconferencia

El valor de mercado de Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. se disparó este miércoles.

La intervención del fundador del gigante chino del comercio electrónico, Jack Ma, en una videoconferencia de este miércoles tras más de dos meses sin aparecer en público redundó favorablemente en la cotización de Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., cuyo valor de mercado subió hasta 58.000 millones de dólares la misma jornada, reporta Bloomberg.

La ausencia del empresario generó incertidumbre entre los inversores, pero finalmente su produjo “un suspiro de alivio”. Si bien todavía hay mucha inseguridad sobre los pasos de los reguladores chinos, el hecho de que Jack Ma pudo participar en una videoconferencia significa que su estado “es mucho mejor de lo que muchos especulaban”, comentó a Bloomberg Fang Kecheng, profesor de la Universidad China de Hong Kong.

“Alibaba no está fuera de la perrera, pero al menos está claro que la actual campaña antimonopolio no va de castigar a Jack Ma”, sostuvo Zhang Fushen, analista senior de Shanghai PD Fortune Asset Management, en declaraciones al citado medio.

Durante su intervención el miércoles, el empresario chino no hizo referencia a los recientes desacuerdos con Pekín y se limitó a contar que planea dedicar más tiempo a la filantropía y destacar la importancia de reducir la brecha salarial y la desigualdad de ingresos.

Es poco probable que el multimillonario hubiera podido participar del evento si el Gobierno chino estuviera en contra de ello, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que su intervención fue cubierta por medios con financiación gubernamental, incluido el diario Global Times. Asimismo, analistas concluyeron que la reaparición en público era una muestra de que los peores escenarios, como la cárcel o la adquisición de las empresas de Ma por parte del Gobierno, probablemente no están sobre la mesa.
