Donald Trump consignó una fianza de 175 millones para evitar el embargo de sus propiedades 

El expresidente Donald Trump cumplió con la consignación de una fianza por 175 millones de dólares ante la justicia de Estados Unidos, en un esfuerzo por evitar el embargo de sus propiedades después de ser condenado en un caso de fraude financiero, según un documento judicial.

Trump tenía como plazo límite hasta el jueves 4 de abril para entregar la fianza en relación al caso, el cual ha apelado. Sin embargo, el exmandatario enfrentará otro proceso judicial a partir del 15 de abril, en el que se le acusa de haber pagado 130,000 dólares a una exestrella de cine para adultos a cambio de su silencio al final de la campaña electoral de 2016.

Aunque un tribunal de apelaciones de Nueva York redujo la fianza a 175 millones de dólares el pasado 25 de marzo, Trump reafirmó su compromiso de cumplir con el pago en un plazo de diez días, mostrando su respeto hacia la decisión judicial.

Finalmente, este pago de fianza llega después de que, en febrero de 2024, Trump y sus hijos Eric y Don Jr. fueran multados con 454 millones de dólares por fraude financiero en el marco de su imperio inmobiliario.
