Continúan las protestas, enfrentamientos y disparos en Colombia

La situación más grave se vive en Cali, donde se reporta también la movilización de oponentes civiles de las manifestaciones.

Este 3 de mayo, continúan en varias ciudades de Colombia las protestas, que comenzaron el pasado miércoles, en respuesta a la reforma tributaria propuesta por el presidente del país, Iván Duque.

La situación más grave se vive en Cali, donde se han denunciado disparos a civiles por parte de los agentes. En videos grabados en la ciudad se ven oficiales con armas de fuego y manifestantes aparentemente heridos de bala. Asimismo, se oyen numerosos disparos.

Al mismo tiempo, Semana reporta la movilización en la ciudad de los oponentes civiles de las manifestaciones. Según la revista, ese sector lo hace en rechazo a los bloqueos y disrupciones en el abastecimiento de bienes esenciales fruto de las protestas. El enfrentamiento ya ha resultado en al menos un tiroteo. “Este mensaje es urgente, lo están logrando, están poniendo al pueblo a pelear contra el pueblo. Tuvimos un altercado peligroso con los vecinos del [barrio de] Ciudad Jardín, pues les están diciendo que somos guerrilleros y terroristas. Los señores están asustados y no saben qué hacer, por la desinformación”, cita el medio a uno de los manifestantes.

Asimismo, fuertes disturbios se han registrado en Bogotá. Los enfrentamientos entre manifestantes y la Policía en la autopista sur de la capital colombiana hicieron imposible el tráfico en la zona.

Además, las manifestaciones han afectado al sistema de transporte público de Medellín.

Aunque las protestas ya han resultado en el retiro de la polémica reforma y la renuncia del ministro de Hacienda y Crédito Público, Alberto Carrasquilla, los manifestantes continúan planteando más exigencias. Así, la Confederación General del Trabajo de Colombia (CGT) invitó a todos al paro nacional el próximo 5 de mayo, reclamando, entre otras cosas, la implantación de la renta básica y matrícula gratuita.

Este lunes, la Defensoría del Pueblo de Colombia solicitó investigar las 19 muertes registradas por el organismo en el marco de la represión policial contra manifestantes durante las protestas. Informó en un comunicado que hubo fallecidos en el Valle del Cauca, Bogotá, Neiva, Cali, Soacha, Yumbo, Ibagué, Madrid (Cundinamarca), Medellín y Pereira.
