Argentina decreta 9 días de cuarentena estricta

El presidente Alberto Fernández hizo el anuncio tras analizar la fuerte suba de contagios y muertes por la enfermedad, junto con mandatarios regionales.

El presidente de Argentino, Alberto Fernández, anunció este jueves una cuarentena estricta de 9 días en el país para enfrentar la segunda ola de coronavirus. 

La medida regirá desde este sábado y hasta el domingo 30 de mayo, según especificó el mandatario en un mensaje por cadena nacional. Y solo afectará 3 días hábiles, descontando los fines de semana y los feriados del 24 y 25 de mayo próximos.

Únicamente podrán circular los trabajadores esenciales. No estarán permitidas actividades económicas, recreativas, deportivas ni reuniones. 

“Soy plenamente consciente de que estas restricciones generan dificultades”, dijo el mandatario. Y anunció que habrá una ampliación de la ayuda social, que yan lleva una inversión del Estado de 480.000 millones de pesos (unos 5 millones de dólares).

Esta semana, el país sudamericano registró nuevos picos máximos de contagios y muertes diarias por covid-19, con 745 decesos y casi 40.000 infectados.   

Se trata de los peores registros para una jornada desde el inicio de la pandemia en el país, en marzo de 2020. Hasta este jueves, el Ministerio de Salud ha reportado un total de 3.411.160 casos y 72.265 decesos.
