Más de 3000 agentes en el ISA World Longboard Surfing Championship 2023, confirmó el Ministro de Seguridad

Por primera vez, El Salvador se convirtió en sede de ISA World Longboard Surfing Championship 2023, el evento deportivo que reúne surfistas de todo el mundo, quienes en este año se dieron cita en la playa El Sunzal, La Libertad.

“En este evento hay un poco más de 3,000 elementos de nuestra Policía Nacional Civil desplegados: grupo aéreo policial, drones, policía rural, motorizados de tránsito. Este es el epicentro desde donde los competidores salen a visitar lugares turísticos y eso es parte de la coordinación estratégica, la fuerza naval es fundamental en este torneo”, dijo el ministro de Justicia y Seguridad, Gustavo Villatoro.

El Ministro destacó que los deportistas se han encontrado con un contexto social de seguridad, donde los homicidios han reducido drásticamente, lo que genera atracción hacia el país por parte de los organizadores de estas competencias internacionales.

Durante este año, se tienen programadas seis competiciones, incluyendo el ISA World Longboard Surfing Championship 2023, que ha reunido a 33 delagaciones, conformadas por más de 110 competidores.

“Este compromiso de preparar al país para recibir a los millones de turistas ha tenido una respuesta en la Academia Nacional de Seguridad Pública, a todos los aspirantes a policías les estamos enseñado el idioma inglés y es un compromiso que vamos a continuar, les abre la oportunidad de conectar con otro tipo de personas”, destacó el Ministro.

Asimismo, Gustavo Villatoro hizo enfásis en que los salvadoreños son el centro de todas las políticas públicas y mencionó que el compromiso como cuerpo de seguridad del Gobierno, es seguir trabajando día a día para garantizar la libertad y seguridad de la población.
