Campeón nacional del karate iraní ejecutado en la horca

En septiembre del año pasado hubo protestas relacionadas a la muerte de la joven Mahsa Amini, mientras estaba detenida y el karateca de 36 años, Saleh Mirhashemi fue acusado de estar involucrado en los disturbios, por lo que fue condenado a muerte por la justicia de Irán.

De acuerdo a la agencia de noticias Mizan, adscrita al Poder Judicial de Irán, el ejecutado fue acusado de estar involucrado en la muerte de tres miembros de las fuerzas de seguridad durante las manifestaciones del pasado 16 de noviembre.

Según la información brindada por Mizan, a Saleh se le halló culpable del delito de “moharabeh” (guerra contra Dios) y, de acuerdo a la denuncia de la activista y hoy parlamentaria de Bélgica, Darya Safai, Mirhashmi habría mostrado signos de tortura al momento de su juicio.

Además del karateca y cinta negra, otros dos hombres fueron ejecutados, acto que ha conmocionado a todo el mundo y ha provocado el pronunciamiento de varias organizaciones y activistas de los derechos humanos.

Por otro lado, según múltiples ONGs, alrededor de 450 personas han muerto en los últimos meses en Irán en las diferentes manifestaciones de protesta, que han sido reprimidas con contundencia por la policía.

Desde que se dio a conocer la sentencia de muerte, la sociedad civil, activistas y ONGs internacionales se sumaron a los esfuerzos para deterner la ejecución de los tres hombres, infortunadamente no fue posible. La Amnistía Internacional de España mostró solidaridad y hace una semana compartió en su cuenta oficial de Twitter la invitación a firmar una petición para parar la decisión de la justicia iraní.
